Modding Razer Atrox - JoyMOT(Joystick & Mod Throwback)

Kali ini kami mendapat kesempatan untuk memodif stick arcade Razer Atrox. Produk Xbox 360 ini hadir di bengkel Keoliz dalam keadaan tidak lengkap. Tak lagi punya tombol, lever arcade, PCB, bahkan stick ini sudah tidak lagi dilengkapi dengan fer hidrolik. Colokan kabel nya juga sudah hilang.

This time we had the opportunity to mod a Razer Atrox arcade stick. This Xbox 360 stick arrived at our workshop incomplete. The stick no longer had buttons, no lever, no PCB, and even the hydraulic springs were missing. The USB cable along with its unique, proprietary port was also missing.

 

 

Fixed Hori Fighting Stick PS4 - JoyMOT(Joystick & Mod Throwback)

Hori Fighting Stick PS4 yang diperbaiki dan dimodifikasi di Keoliz. Sekarang menggunakan tombol Sanwa OBSF30, tongkat Sanwa JLF. Bekas tapi masih bagus.

Hori Fighting Stick for PS4/PS3 that was fixed & modded at Keoliz. Now it features 8x Sanwa OBSF30 buttons, and a Sanwa JLF lever. They're not brand new but they still work.

 

Fixed Sanwa JLF Microswitch - JoyMOT(Joystick & Mod Throwback)

Beruntung microswitch Sanwa JLF koleksi pribadi kami masih bisa diperbaiki; kalau harus ganti, waduh spare part nya harus diimport dari tempat yang jauh, jauh sekali.

We're fortunate the Sanwa JLF microswitch in our personal arcade stick can still be fixed; we would have to import it from a place very, very far away.  

 

 

Fixed 8BitDo Arcade Stick - JoyMOT(Joystick & Mod Throwback)

 Stick arcade 8BitDo untuk PC dan Nintendo Switch yang mengalami kerusakan ringan. 

An 8BitDo arcade stick for the Switch and PC, that's slightly broken.

 

 

Tepat nya tombol /\ nya sudah mulai rusak, tidak lagi responsif seperti waktu masih baru. Sehingga konsumen meminta untuk kita pindahkan saja tombol L2 ke posisi tombol segitiga. Lalu tombol /\ nya coba diperbaiki oleh teknisi Keoliz, agar masih berguna walau nanti jarang dipakai. Tidak lupa juga lever arcade nya dikasih sedikit gemuk/pelicin biar tambah nikmat main Guile & Nagoriyuki nya. 

The /\ button in particular has become less responsive; not as good as it was when the stick was still new. So our customer asked us to swap the L2 button with the triangle one. And then our technician at Keoliz tried to fix the /\ button, so that it will still be useful although it will be rarely used in the future according to the stick's owner.  And we might as well give the lever a bit of lube, so that the customer we'll have a fun time playing Guile & Nagoriyuki.

Kali ini kita kedatangan stick yang pernah kita rakit. Masalah nya ada 2 tombol di samping nga hidup.
Tombol arah atas juga mati.

This time a customer sent back their custom controler for us to fix. The main complaints were two buttons on the sides were not working & the up button had also stopped working.

Modded PXN Arcade Stick - JoyMOT(Joystick & Mod Throwback)

Stick arcade PXN yang kami modif jadi controller campuran tombol arcade & tombol keyboard. Tongkat nya diganti dengan tombol keyboard; keycap Tai-Hao dan microswitch Cherry MX coklat.

 

A modded multi-console PXN arcade stick that we turned into a hybrid controller that mixes arcade & keyboard buttons. The stock arcade lever was swapped with keyboard buttons; Tai-Hao keycaps with brown Cherry MX switches.

Stick Little to Hide Berhasil Hidup Kembali

 

Stick arcade kita hidup kembali! Little to Hide stick arcade PS3/PC yang memakai PCB Dual Strike sempat tidak bisa hidup sama sekali; muncul pesan "this USB device is not recognized" kalau kita pasang di PC.

Our arcade stick is back to life! Little to Hide which is our PC/PS3 arcade stick at one point was completely dead; a pop up message saying "this USB device is not recognized" each time we tried to plug it to our PC.

 

 

Beruntung di komunitas kita ada orang seperti Heng Bun yang bisa kenali masalah nya, dan dengan cepat perbaiki masalah di PCB kami. Problem nya konektor cewek USB nya sudah mulai longgar & firmware di dalam PCB nya hilang. Jadi terima kasih Heng Bun sudah bantu perbaiki stick kita.

 

 

 

Fortunately we have people like Heng Bun in our community who could quickly find the solution to the trouble with our stick. The main problems were the female USB connector was getting loose, and the firmware in the PCB was lost. So Hengbun, thank you for fixing the PCB.

Prototipe Stick Arcade Dua Orang Keoliz - JoyMOT(Joystick & Mod Throwback)

Untuk mengisi waktu luang, di akhir 2021 kita merakit prototipe stick arcade 2 orang; untuk PC dan PS3. Menggunakan design panel controller atau semacam meja yang kita buat untuk cabinet arcade kita beberapa tahun sebelum nya. 

To keep ourselves busy back in late 2021 we built a prototype of 2 player arcade stick for PS3 & PC. Using our previous design from several years prior; the one used for our 1st arcade cabinet.

Different Realm, controller tipe tombol semua untuk PS3 & PC. Menggunakan tombol tipe tiruan Jepang ukuran 24mm & tombol Bao Liang tipe 30mm, sekaligus PCB Dual Strike.

Different Realm, an all button controller for PS3 PC. Powered by the Dual Strike PCB. The controller uses 24mm knock off Japanese buttons, and 30mm Bao Lian buttons.

Modded Gamesir C2 - JoyMOT(Joystick & Mod Throwback)

Gamesir C2 merupakan arcade stick multi-console yang menggunakan tombol & tongkat Sanwa Denshi, dan pemilik nya ingin merubah stick ini menjadi semacam hitbox. Dalam hati kami bertanya-tanya soal apa saja yang perlu kita lakukan untuk pekerjaan ini karena kami belum pernah memodifikasi stick Gamesir.

Gamesir C2 is a multi-console arcade stick that has Sanwa Denshi buttons & lever. The owner of the stick wanted to turn stick into some sort of hitbox. We ask ourselves what would be the steps we had to take for this project because we have never modded a Gamesir stick.

Sebelum barang dikirim kita perlu tunggu dulu pemilik stick nya membeli tombol Sanwa yang akan difungsikan sebagai pengganti tongkat Sanwa JLF. Usai mempertimbangkan untuk print di Keoliz saja dia mengirim Gamesir milik nya beserta tombol Sanwa OBSF24 dan OBSF30 baru.

Before the stick was sent to us we waited for the customer to buy Sanwa buttons  to replace the Sanwa JLF as the device to input directions. After considering the options of printing the artwork on his own, or asking us to print it the stick owner sent us his Gamesir along with the new OBSF24 & OBSF30 buttons.

Gemini Twins - JoyMOT(Joystick & Mod Throwback)

Stick arcade PS3 dengan 8x tombol Bao Lian, 3x tombol yatta star(tiruan Jepang 24mm), tongkat dari Hori Mini yang sudah dimodif, dan PCB Dual Strike. Sewaktu menyapa kami untuk mencari stick dia mempertimbangkan berbagai pilihan yang kami berikan. Dia juga sempat mempertimbangkan kedua produk siap pakai yang sedang tersedia saat catatan ini ditulis. Pilihan akhir nya jatuh kepada produk PS3 & PC dengan parts Taiwan dengan permintaan tambahan PCB Dual Strike.

One PS3 arcade stick with 8x Bao Lian buttons, 3x Yatta Star buttons(I think they are knockoff 24mm Japanese buttons), modded Hori Mini level, and Dual Strike PCB. When he approached us to buy an arcade stick, we offered multiple options the customer could pick. He finally picked a custom PS3 & PC arcade stick with Taiwanese parts, with Dual Stike as the additional request.

When we first offered the product to the customer, he asked if we could make the artwork bigger. We then began searching our workshop for the model 2 case that the customer wanted; turned out we still had it.
